Bubble Diagrams
So 2 Capstone periods ago my partner and I worked on our design for our Recreation Center. We finished our bubble diagrams and thought about some specific elements that we wanted to include into our building. Some of these elements are having our treadmills and bicycles hooked up so they produce energy when used. Also we wanted people that came into our building to feel like the outdoors have been combined with the indoors by making our grand staircase to look like a river was coming down it. We want to make people feel like they are walking on water and also this feature would be very unique. With water coming down the staircase came along with some problems like after awhile there would be some algae collected on our staircase. So to resolve this issue my partner and I decided to make a Koi pond at the bottom of the pond to eat all the algea up. We believe having a Koi pond will not only pull together the whole product but will help with the sustainability of the building.

Thesis statement (Finalized)
The type of thesis statement I will be using will be a Problem/Solution statement.
Recreation centers are enormous buildings that leave major carbon footprints. These recreation centers can reduce their carbon footprints by using the 6 steps of green building design, siting, water, energy, materials, indoor quality, and building and inspiration.
